About my Mustang

1967 Mustang convertible - ground up restoration completed June 2008  AKA:  Black Stallion - The owner has had the car for over 30 years and this is its second rebirth. Prior restoration was in 1978 and the car was painted a metallic gun metal gray with black interior and silver inserts in the seats. Time and neglect found the car in need of new paint and some mechanical repairs. The owner Charles Alexander decided to go all out on the restoration this time around. The car was completely dismantled and restored from front to back and everywhere in between.

The Black Stallion now displays its logo on the front fenders as well as it being embroidered in the seat backs and the console. The color scheme is simply Raven Black with Silver GT stripes on the Hood Trunk and spoilers.

The front spoiler has been modified and rounded to blend more with the body and a rear spoiler was added and adapted from a 94 Mustang giving the car a nice blend of early and late model look. Other added features are sport bucket seats (black with Silver Carbon fiber inserts) and a matching console glove box. The side panels are matching black with carbon fiber silver inserts. The dash cluster has been updated to white face gauges with the deluxe Stainless steel bezels. The black luxurious high pile carpet is outstanding and gives the interior an elegant look and feel while complementing the GT sport look of the car.

The Black Stallion has power windows and door locks as well as a keyless entry alarm, power trunk, satellite radio, cd changer and GPS. The Stallion sits on 17" Shelby style wheels with hand painted Black Stallion's running against a red oval center cap to match its logo. The engine built by a Houston legend -(Faerman Racing Engines) hosts a balanced and blue printed 325 smok’en horses and has the signature Mustang roar coming from its 2.5" stainless Magna Flow exhaust system and ceramic coated headers. 4 piston caliper disc brakes have been added, because, well, It goes FASSSST!

The Black Stallion was built to be a smooth comfortable cruiser with power steering and Factory A/C but with a push on the right pedal unleash the GT power only felt from behind the wheel of Lee Iacocca's legendary little pony car. To own it is wonderful, to drive it is awesome, to show it to others is a true pleasure. I hope you enjoy looking at this timeless piece of art as much as I do.
