My 1965 Mustang Conv I have owned it 33 years this past Memorial Day.Orig. a Virginia and West Virginia car muy uncle owned it since 1965.It sat in his driveway a few years doing nothing butting getting old.I live 35 miles south of Boston,I got it running and drove it 755 miles, leaking gas from the carb, the top of the gas tank, the roof leaked and had no back window, plis three snow tires.I save money being 20 years old and went to the Ford dealer weekly and ordered all NOS Chrome,I restored in(ameature) in 1978.Three moves,a new house,a new wife, and two lids later,I had it restored in Jan08.Thanking my awsome wife for the gift of helping me restore it for my 25th weddding anniversry! All the chrome still is like new, never out in snow or rain since 1975,and thanks to Tom Stevenson and his people at AFTER HOURS AUTO BODY MY mUSTANG IS AS NEW. It has a 289 4v and 3 speed. All matching numbers and 82,000 actual miles. This restore took the orig ball joints, and shocks off, everything underneath is as new,Mu uncle has passed away, but my aunt, whom I love dearly knows how much I treasure this Mustang. and to beat all its a factory A code!!the only non orig component is the radial tires which make it drive so much better,This car is a keeper. My oldest son now 22,keeps his eye on it as his future collectible.Through it all, some 10 new cars since maybe 20,this car is all mine.Ill admit,it doesnt drive as nice or as comfortable as My 07 GT 5 speed I bought on a whim 15 mos ago.It stays garages with convertible having 32oo miles in 15 mos. Also my special Thanks to Tom at After Hours, for his good work, and watching over my car for 5 mos. Tom is a victim of Lou Gherings disease, and I hope he continues to fight. He made my day and future a whole lot better,I wish I could do the same!! Thanks Bucky Collins,Taunton,Ma
