My car is a 1973 Mustang Mach which I've owned since 2003 that is anything but original. When I bought it the PO had already swapped the original "H" code 351C for a high compression 1970 "M" code which he further modified with a cam and some head work. He also added power windows (since removed) and a fold down rear seat.
Since I've had the car I first swapped the FMX for a toploader and then the toploader for a TKO 600 and aluminum driveshaft.I also swapped over the front end from a 1971 Mustang, added a Blue Thunder intake,Hooker long tube header with a custom 2/5" exhaust w/H-pipe, Holley 700dp, MSD ignition,sub-frame connectors, custom rebuilt 12:1 variable ratio steering box, larger sway bars f/r, rebuilt and lower suspensions f/r, 3.55 posi gears,Classic Air a/c system, and many more mods.
When I first got the car it was painted a silver laquer that was faded, pitting, and bubbling; it was in very poor condition. I recently had it repainted DuPont Electric Blue with black trim and custom made Mach 1 decals.
Future mode include a Boss EFI system, brake up grade, wheels, and a coil over rear suspension (not sure from who yet).
My main goal in this whole project was to get a good-looking, good handling, comfortable driver. I'm almost there.
