I bought this car on April 16th, 2009. I was out to find a Mustang GT but came across this little V6. To me, a Mustang is a Mustang -End of story. I grew up in the automotive industry (mother worked at Ford & father worked at Chevy...haha) and fell in love with the 1999 when she first came out. At the time I worked at a Ford dealership in a tiny town in Northern Nevada. I was a lot porter and detailer. When those V6 and GT 35th Anniversary Mustangs rolled in, it was love at first sight. So, when I came across this '99, I HAD to have her.
The second owners were selling the car for pretty cheap and I wanted it more than anything. We called, went to go check it out -but we had no money in hand. We asked them if they would hold the car for us, thinking we'd get our check within a few days. We kept in constant contact with them. It took a whole month for our check to come -and they held the car for us the whole time. It was really amazing and awesome of them to do that.
This car was meant to be mine.
I know one day I'll own a GT. It's just a matter of time. But this little V6 is my love and I never plan to let her go. She is babied and taken care of like she is my 4th child!
