Our 67' Mustang originated from the West Coast then made it inland to Phoenix,AZ when we found her in 2002. 5 year complete undercarriage restoration to just clean up and make all of the correct suspension improvements. Absolutely no bondo or body workdue to rust( unheard of in AZ when treated right). Has a 3.40 Limited Slip 8" rear axle, all number match and all original drivetrain still exsists. Plans in the future to overhaul the original 289"C" code and the C4 trans. Factory integral air w/ console works like brand new.
We finished up within just 3 weeks prior to our son's Senior Prom. We were very proud to have it done in time and that everything worked correctly. Only issue was, he was scared of the car due to the time and costs and didn't want anything to go wrong. He drove it out to where the prom was being held and wouldn't you just know it, a County Deputy Sheriff pulled him over....for driving too slow! How embarrassed and angry he was. This year, it was the car that drove our oldest daughter to her wedding! After the wedding, I let our new son-in-law and daughter take it to the reception. Just a half a block from the church..he was nervous but, not shy. He romped it off the line,she promptly let him know who was boss when it handled so well in the attempted burnout. (posi and rear sway bar,5 leaf springs wouldn't let it do a "Bullitt" smoking burnout!)
